Crown Arborists is a full service tree company operating in and around the city of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Crown services an area outside the city as well covering most of south and central Nova Scotia. We have extensive experience in all aspects of tree pruning, tree removal and in maintaining the overall health of your trees and shrubs. Crown has the experience, the skills, the staff and the equipment to handle virtually any job.
We keep a team of trained and hard working professionals on staff to provide expert advice and service to keep your trees in great condition, providing longevity and health for years to come. We use modern techniques with state of the art equipment, bringing years of experience and expertise to the craft. Safety is our number one concern and we always take great care when working on your trees and the property that surrounds them.
The owner, Scott Lugar, has been working with trees for 10 years, starting in the forestry sector as a silviculture worker, cutting trees and helping shape the future of Nova Scotia’s forests. He continued his learning and direct experience into arboriculture, further honing the required skills to be a climbing arborist with particular expertise in: tree health, tree related insects, tree disease and pathogens, as well as tree removal, tree assessment, danger tree removal, risk mitigation, and storm damage clean up.
Scott completed the Forest Technician Program (now called Natural Resources Environmental Technology or NRET) at Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) in 2016, and received a diploma in Arboriculture and a Certificate in Urban Forestry from Fleming College in 2021.
